Major training exercise at RAF Wittering
Expect to see some large military planes landing at the base
A major training exercise is taking place at RAF Wittering near Stamford today.
Exercise Agile Pirate is the first collective training opportunity for the RAF Support Force.
The operation will bring together specialist engineering and logistics, advanced military communications and tactical medical teams.
Ed Palmer from RAF Wittering says they'll be developing their skills for deployment anywhere in the world: “It’s about keeping skills current, keeping them sharp - so that when phone calls do come in that say you need to go over there – they are ready, they are prepared to do their job.”
