The Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland says she hopes we'll take forward the lessons learnt during the pandemic into next year.

Dr Sarah Furness says "It's made us rethink our values, and we have realised that actually companionship, comradeship, and neighbourliness is very important to all of us"

She continues "actually being able to talk and see each other in the flesh is actually something we really care about"

She also feels we've connected more to nature during these tough times. She that "sometimes our modern life can make us feel like we're somehow apart from the natural world and of course were part of it"
