Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue say they were called out to more than 300 extra wildfires last year than normal.
They're working closely with the Forestry Commission and the NFU to understand what steps they can take to help - while urging people to take extra care when outdoors as we enter the hotter months of the year.
Dan Moss, Area Manager for Prevention and Protection warns people to be careful during outdoor activities: "With the increase in nice weather we expect people to go out and enjoy themselves.
"We just ask members of the public to be aware of the potential. We saw things like portable barbecues, log burners, which the sun then refracts and causes some of the fires to start.
"It's just about thinking what the potential impacts might be. We're absolutely not trying to stop people from having fun and enjoying the hot weather."
