Lincolnshire police see rise in so called "romance fraud"

It's where someone pretends to be in love to try and con them out of money

Lincolnshire Police says there's been a rise in so called Romance fraud - with criminals conning people out of more than 2 million pounds after pretending to fall in love with their target.

That's a 35 percent rise in cash taken in the last 2 years.

Meanwhile, Humberside Police says 75 people there were targeted in the year to April, with victims losing over 850-thousand pounds.
