Lincolnshire health bosses have spoken out following a rise in coronavirus cases in the South Kesteven area which has caused concern in Stamford.

Derek Ward from public health Lincolnshire says we need to take precautions.

He's particularly concerned about the impact the Bank Holiday weekend may have in the county with many people visiting places like Stamford.

He says "I would like anyone coming into the county or going to one of the towns to take a lateral flow test."

"It takes about 20 seconds to do the test and 30 minutes to get the result."

"If you get the negative then at least you have some piece of mind to know you haven't got the disease and you're not either bringing it into the county or spreading it into different parts of the region".
