Leicestershire Police dog injured by hidden machete

A Leicestershire Police dog has cut his paw on a disregarded machete while on duty.
Cato and his handler deployed to a serious assault in the Leicester City area. when in his search for the suspects he located a discarded/hidden machete.
The keen canine showed his chauffer what he found, but in doing so caught his pad on the blade.
He required a number of stitches and is now on a short break from doing what he loves the most.
Police say he is on the road to recovery and getting extra treats at home!
