Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service has reassured people they are "continuing to operate as business as usual", following concerns about fuel supply issues.

They are also reminding people not to store petrol or diesel "inappropriately".

The fire service is asking people to only buy the fuel they need, only use containers designed for fuel and not to stockpile fuel.

They added:

"If you need to store fuel, make sure it is stored in a well ventilated area with no ignition sources (even a light switch could create a spark)."
