Investigation launched into deliberate field fire in Ramsey

Firefighters have tackled a large blaze in a Ramsey field which the service say was started deliberately.

Crews from Ramsey and Chatteris were called to Biggin Lane just before 5pm on Sunday afternoon to find a well-developed fire involving bales.

They worked for hours to contain the flames and stop them spreading to other parts of the field.

Firefighters remained on site until around midnight.

Police are now urging anyone with information to get in touch.
