Peterborough United are away at Oxford United in the Play-off Semi final first leg tonight
Harrison Burrows says his side is ready to make up for their play-off heartbreak last year, as Peterborough United prepare to face Oxford United in the semi-final first-leg tonight.
Posh lost to Sheffield Wednesday last season in a dramatic match which saw the Owls win on penalties, after Darren Ferguson's side let a 4-0 first-leg advantage slip.
Burrows, who was Peterborough United's Wembley hero in the EFL Trophy last month, said: "Personally I learned a lot about myself and about football that day in Sheffield, so it's definitely made me more motivated since the start of this season."
Peterborough United will be looking to take a positive result against Oxford tonight back to London Road for the second-leg on Wednesday (8th May), to be in with a chance at a play-off final and a second trip to Wembley in 6 weeks.
Oxford won 5-0 when they last played Peterborough in the league, but Harrison Burrows says they've learned from the game:
"We've worked vigorously on the training pitch this week to make sure we don't make the same mistake twice."
"That game itself has helped us learn a lot about ourselves and learn a lot about them, so going into the game we've got a clear game plan."
He added: "We deserve to be back in the Championship. Getting there will be a relief in a way because I think, from the start of the season, we've been good enough to get there."
