People across Rutland are being invited to take part in the Great Dementia Conversation, in a bid to become the first dementia-friendly county.

Rutland MP, Alicia Kearns has launched the online discussion to better understand dementia awareness.

The county has a 12% lower diagnosis rate than the rest of the UK.

Alicia Kearns told us she hopes this will be the start of making Rutland the UK's first dementia-friendly county:

"Rutland has been awarded over £49 million from the Government’s Local Transport Fund.

This is an enormous investment in new transport infrastructure for our county over the next 7 years, so I am keen to identify the best projects for its use.

I would be very grateful for your feedback on where you think the money should be invested in our communities.

For example, on new junctions, roundabouts, bike lanes, pedestrian crossings or speed cameras.

Do let me know your views via the survey on my website: www.aliciakearns.com/dementia".
