A public consultation has been launched following proposals to spend 450 million pounds transforming acute hospital and maternity services in Rutland and Leicestershire.

It aims to improve patient care and achieve better patient outcomes.

One idea would see the midwifery led unit at St Mary's relocated to the Leicester General hospital campus.

Managers argue that'll make the service more accessible to those in the county.
