Six more competitors are needed to take part in Stamford's charity bake-off next month.

They'll join four other entrants in going head-to-head at Mama Liz's on Saturday 18th March, with the winning baker having their cake recreated and sold at Askers Bakery in April for a month.

All proceeds will go towards organiser Ali Macdonald's fundraiser for Alzheimer's Research UK, which will see her climb Mt Kilimanjaro in Autumn this year.

Enough cakes will have to be pre-baked to sell to guests at the fundraiser on March 18th, as well as for judges to try.

'When I was in my teens my nan died of Alzheimer's, so I'm doing this for her and anybody else who's had to suffer - whether it's been a family member or themselves', Ali said.
