Campaigners want changes made to GP surgeries in Stamford
They feel changes need to be made
Campaigners in Stamford are asking for more choice of GP surgeries.
Those in the town are run by Lakeside Healthcare.
The Better Healthcare for Stamford group say this is a monopoly.
They're not happy with the current arrangements.
They've made a number of criticisms such as the length of waiting lists and problems with online booking.
A petitition started by the group has passed two thousand signatures.
They've also made a number of recommendations.
Andrew Nebel from the group says they understand there’s a national shortage of GPs, but the problem is worse than average for Stamford.
We approached Lakeside for comment.
They said they're committed to providing the best possible services to the community and their staff are working hard to make improvements.
