Owner of the Travellers Rest Café in Stamford 'sick to death' of her business getting vandalised
Susan Robbins says anti-social behaviour in the Sheep Market area is getting worse at the weekends
The owner of 'The Travellers Rest' café in Stamford says she's 'sick to death' of her business getting vandalised.
Susan Robbins claims up to 80 young people-between the ages of 12 and 17-are causing havoc there every weekend.
She tells us that most recently the vandals have been damaging some hanging baskets of flowers outside the café:
"I have to keep replacing them, and they cost a lot of money.
"I'm just trying to make it look lovely out here, and these people are just making my life really hard at the moment."
Susan's now calling for more regular police patrols in the area, as well as more CCTV:
"I think these young people are disgusting hooligans.
"If you say anything to them then you just get abuse. It's terrible.
"I could lose my business through this, because I am struggling at the moment.
"I'll keep fighting though and I won't let these youngsters beat me!"
We've contacted Lincolnshire Police for a statement on this but are yet to receive a response.
