Police investigate ATM theft at Rutland petrol station

Police are investigating the theft of an ATM at a petrol station in Rutland.

Police were called to Casterton Road in Tickencote at 2.17am today (2/10), following a report that a telehandler had been used to steal an ATM which was on an outside wall of the premises.

The ATM was placed on the back of a vehicle which then left the scene.

Leicestershire Police said: "No injuries have been reported following the incident and arrangements are being made for the wall to be structurally assessed for safety reasons."

"An investigation into the incident is in its early stages and full enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances of the report.
