A major clean up operation has been taking place on the A1 overnight after a crash involving two lorries yesterday.

Traffic was stopped in both directions within the A151 junction at Colsterworth from around 7am, with emergency services and traffic officers in attendance.

The road was closed for nearly 12 hours in total, fully re-opening at 6am today, for resurfacing.

It is believed no-one was injured.

The road re-opened northbound at around 6pm last night.

National Highways say one of the lorries crossed through the central reservation and overturned.
