A community litter pick in Rutland has seen more than 15 bags of rubbish collected
Oakham McDonald's teamed up with Royce Rangers FC
A local football club in Rutland joined forces with McDonald's in the county to help with a community litter pick.
Over 50 volunteers from the restaurant and Royce Rangers FC collected around 15 bags of rubbish near the bypass in Oakham and surrounding areas
They were split into groups of 6 an maintained Covid social distancing rules.

Oakham McDonald’s franchisee Glyn Pashley, who recently partnered with Royce Rangers FC to fund new kits for the club, said: “I’m really proud of my team for giving their time and efforts to do their bit for our fellow Oakham residents"
He continues; "McDonald’s is committed to fighting litter in our local communities and we are happy with the difference we continue to make. We want to thank Royce Rangers FC and their parents for joining us on our litter pick and we look forward to working with them again.”
Club Representative, James Beanland, said: “Royce Rangers FC and I would like to thank all the volunteers for their hard work at the McDonald’s litter pick in Oakham. It’s been great to join forces to help keep the local area clean and tidy, and we massively appreciate the ongoing support of the club from Glyn and his team.”
