Woman walking home from a night out assaulted in Plymouth

Police say it happened in the early hours on Saturday September 11

Police are investigating an assault on a woman in her 50's in Plymouth.

Officers says the victim was walking along Notte Street from the Tesco Express towards the Walrus pub before it took place.

She was then assaulted by someone she didn't know on the corner of Athenaeum Street with the Crescent.

"The victim, a woman in her Fifties, was walking home from a night out in the early hours of Saturday morning between 01:00 and 01:15 hours.

"She was walking on Notte Street, Plymouth from Tesco Express towards The Walrus Public House.

"She was assaulted by an unknown person on the corner of the Athenaeum Street with The Crescent.

"Victim's description: She is described as a white female, 5ft 6" tall, average build. She has shoulder length hair which was grey on top and blonde on the bottom.

"She was wearing a leotard print top, black leather trousers, and knee high black boots."
