Woman arrested after e-scooter crashes into parked car in Plymouth
She was taken in on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs
A woman has sustained face injuries after crashing her e-scooter into a parked car in Plymouth.
The incident happen on Sunday (1 August) afternoon.
A woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs and has been released under investigation.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:
"Police were called at 12.30pm on Sunday 1 August after an e-scooter was in collision with an unattended parked car in Plymouth.
"The incident happened on Pym Street, Devonport. The female rider sustained a facial injury and was taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment.
"The e-scooter was seized by police.
"A woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries."
Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident and asking for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them via 101@dc.police.uk or by telephone on 101, quoting log number 0476 of 01/08/21.
