Weston Mill Recycling Centre is set to open on Mondays and Fridays.

The site in North Prospect partially reopened back in September 2020, but only on weekends.

From April 16 it will be available for the extra two days, from 8.30am until 5.30pm.

As lockdown restrictions lift in line with the Government's roadmap, there is expected to be an increase in demand - which is one of the reasons behind the change.

Staff who are shielding are also expected to return from April 1, and Plymouth City Council say they are "much more confident" in extending the opening of Weston Mill due to the vaccine roll-out and availability of Lateral Flow Tests.

Residents will now be able to dispose of wood at the centre too.

If all other Government criteria is met in accordance with the roadmap, the site will fully reopen from May 17.
