Torbay Pride is returning this Saturday (2 September) after 10 years, with the first ever Pride parade through Torquay.

Stagecoach has created a rainbow Pride Bus to celebrate and say they will continue to spread the Pride message around the region in the months to come.

Festival-goers dressed as the Spice Girls will join the parade on an open top bus, also provided by Stagecoach, recreating the famous moment in the world tour film.

Chris Smith, Torbay Pride said: "This is huge moment for us as we bring this iconic event back to Torbay after 10 years. This time we will have a traditional Pride parade and are so excited to have the Pride Bus as part of that to help brighten up the streets."

Peter Knight, Managing Director, Stagecoach South West said: "It’s a real honour for us to wrap a bus in rainbow colours to support this hugely important event, and the wider Pride movement.

"We are really looking forward to seeing our colourful rainbow Pride Bus out on the streets in the coming months. We are proud to support all of the communities we serve across the South West."

The parade will depart at 12.00pm from Princess Gardens, Torquay and head to Torre Abbey Meadows, Torquay where the main event and stage will come alive.

The event, open to everyone, will feature local catering, bars, stall holders, entertainment, and acts.
