Plymouth Argyle's League One match against Crewe Alexandra tonight is being dedicated to the NHS.

The club are hoping to celebrate their partnership with the health service over the past 18 months, thanking healthcare heroes in the process.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Argyle and the NHS have worked together on projects to combat COVID-19: including making the Mayflower Grandstand a mass vaccination centre.

Over 250,000 vaccinations were administered at the site.

Over 1,000 tickets have been donated to NHS staff, volunteers and their families - with over 400 coming from the club and 550 generated through their Crowdfunder campaign in 2020. 50 tickets were pledged by supporters in the same scheme.

Meanwhile, a number of NHS delegates will also attend Club Argyle as special guests, with a mutual presentation taking place.

In the build-up to kick off, a spectacular lights show will take place within the stadium, while Argyle Chairman Simon Hallett will give a pitch-side speech ahead of a minute’s applause.

Kick off for tonight's clash at Home Park is at 7.45pm.
