Teenager left with black eye after attack in Liskeard

She was attacked from behind in an alleyway.

Police in Liskeard are appealing for information about an unprovoked attack on a woman which left her with bruising to her face and a black eye.

Sometime between 7.30pm and 8.40pm on Wednesday 11 November, a 19-year-old woman was walking to work through an alleyway near to Liskeard Cemetery off of Lanchard Lane, when she was approached from behind by a male.

The male punched her twice in the face and kicked her in the stomach before running off.

Police attended immediately afterwards and conducted a search of the wider area.

The suspect is described as a white male of average height and slim build. He was believed to be wearing a red or orange baseball cap and jeans.
