A weather warning is in place for Plymouth.

A yellow alert for rain has been issued by the Met Office.

It is in place between 00.00am to 16.00pm today (Wednesday 16 December), with another one set to come into force from 21.00pm tonight that will remain until Saturday morning (19 December).

Meanwhile, the Environment Agency has issued flood warnings for Plymouth. More on that can be read here.

There is likely to be delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport, as well as some bus and train services, with some journeys taking longer.

Some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities may be affected by spray and/or large waves.

High-sided vehicles may experience delays on exposed routes and bridges, and there may be a short term loss of power to certain areas.
