Major disruption is expected across Devon as Storm Kathleen hits on Saturday.

A yellow weather warning is in force between 8am and 10pm, with winds of up to 70mph expected.

The Met Office are warning of damage to buildings, including tiles being blown off of roofs, and power cuts.

Disruption on roads, as well as rail, air and ferry services is also expected.

Meteorologist Aidan McGivern says he expects the coasts to be hardest hit.

"Avoiding the coasts and avoiding those dangerous waves is key with this storm," he said.

He added the timing of the storm during the Easter Holidays influenced the decision to make it a named storm.

"A lot of people on the roads, caravans now out and about, so that's why we've got these warnings in place."
