The team at Sidmouth Lifeboat on social media are reminding beach-goers to stay away from cliff edges and bases.

It's after a cliff fall on Saturday in the town, with the RNLI and the council saying cliffs are unpredictable and accidents can happen in an instant.

Nobody was injured.

East Devon District Council said: "Saturday's cliff falls in the Sidmouth area serves as a serious reminder of getting too close to our cliffs. Whilst we all love the beauty of nature, cliffs are unpredictable and accidents can happen in an instance.

"Please for your safety maintain a safe distance from cliffs along our shorelines. Let's enjoy our beautiful beaches but stay safe this bank holiday weekend."

You can find out more information on cliff safety on the council's website.
