Seven cars destroyed following arson in Plymouth
Firefighters from Crownhill, Camels Head and Greenbank were called to tackle the blaze
Investigations are taking place following an arson in Plymouth.
It happened on Ham Drive in the early hours of this morning.
The fire destroyed seven cars in a compound, with police also attending the scene.
A spokesperson from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said:
"Firefighters from Crownhill, Camels head and Greenbank were all mobilised to the above location following a number of calls to the emergency control room reporting a large fire.
"On arrival, the officer in charge confirmed that the fire involved a number of cars. The crews used compressed air foam, a hose reel jet and four breathing apparatus sets to tackle the blaze.
"The fire destroyed seven cars in a compound and is being treated as arson. As a result, the Police also attended the scene and fire investigation is ongoing."
