Two men injured in serious assault at Plymouth nightclub

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault on two men at a Plymouth nightclub.

It happened at around 1.15am on Saturday (2 April) at The DEPO in Union Street.

A man reportedly struck two men with a glass after an altercation on the dance floor. Both victims received cuts to their heads.

One of the men, who is in his 30s and from Plymouth, was taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment for a serious cut to his head.

However the second victim left before police were able to speak with him and detectives are now urging him to come forward.

A 20-year-old man from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Detectives investigating the assault are appealing for any witnesses to contact them and are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may be able to identify the second victim.
