Emergency services are at the scene of an unfolding incident in Plymstock.

They were called to the Royal Mail sorting office in Breakwater Road on Wednesday June 2, to reports of a suspicious package.

The building's been evacuated as a precaution.

"We were called shortly before 7.15am on Wednesday 2 June with reports of a suspicious package at the Royal Mail sorting office in Breakwater Road, Plymstock.

"The building has been evacuated as a precaution for the public’s safety while specialist teams carry out enquiries.

"There is not believed to be any wider risk to the local community and specialist teams from the ambulance, fire and police service are at the scene to ensure people’s safety."
