Police issue update about missing man from Plymouth

There was an unconfirmed sighting of Wayne Walling last month

Police are re-appealing for anyone with information about a missing man from Plymouth.

Officers are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of 36-year-old Wayne Walling.

He was last heard from on Friday 20 November. The picture above was taken at Go Outdoors, Cattewater Road at 11.00am that day.

A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"It has now been three weeks since Wayne was reported missing and he has not been heard from since.

"The last unconfirmed reported sighting of Wayne was on 25 November in the Ivybridge area. Our enquiries and searches so far have not led us to locate Wayne and no new information as to his possible whereabouts has come to light.

"We do not believe that Wayne has access to any vehicles, so he is likely to be travelling on foot."

Wayne has been known to frequent the Plymouth Hoe area and the benches near the James Vaults pub but he may have moved on to Ivybridge or the South Hams area.

Wayne is described as a white male, 5 ft 7ins tall and of slim build. He has brown eyes, long dark brown hair, long dark beard and a moustache.

He has a front tooth missing and has tattoos over both arms and his neck. He usually wears dark coloured clothing and is known to carry a small rucksack.

He was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket with a white logo on the back, a grey zip-up hooded top with a black logo on the front, black tracksuit trousers with white writing up one leg and a white logo on the other and walking shoes.

Anyone who sees Wayne or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 999.

Anyone with information which may assist in locating Wayne is asked to contact police on 999 quoting log 513 26/11/20.
