Investigations ongoing after man sustains serious injuries in Plymouth
The westbound carriageway of the A38 at Manadon is currently closed
A police incident is ongoing in Plymouth.
They were called the A38 at Manadon in the early hours of the morning, with concerns for the welfare of a man.
He has been taken to hospital with serious injuries believed to be life threatening.
Part of the road is closed as officers carry out investigations.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:
"Police were called following concern for the welfare of a man on the westbound carriageway of the A38 at Manadon, Plymouth, at around 00.30am today (10 June).
"The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries believed to be life threatening.
"A road closure was put in place and it is expected to remain closed for some time to allow investigations to be carried out."
Travel monitoring service INRIX is reporting:
"A38 The Parkway Westbound closed due to accident investigation work at A386 Outland Road (Manadon Roundabout). Road has been closed since around 01:00. Diversion - via the exit and entry slips."
