Police confirm death of person on A38 in Plymouth

A person has died on the A38 in Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed.

Officers were called shortly before 7am this morning (Friday 8 October) to the scene between Marsh Mills and Leigham.

It followed reports of a potential collision involving a person. A person was confirmed deceased at the scene.

Police enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident.

Emergency services remain at the scene and the road is expected to remain closed at least throughout the morning.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area around that time and may have relevant dash cam footage.
