Police appeal after teenager suffers broken jaw in unprovoked attack

A 19-year-old has suffered a broken jaw, in an unprovoked attack in Plymouth.

It happened on Embankment Road, sometime between 9.30pm and 11pm on 4 January, and left the victim needing surgery.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the attack or has dash cam or CCTV footage which may have captured the incident or the offender before or afterwards.

A 28-year-old man from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
