Police appeal after Plymouth taxi driver racially abused

Officers are hoping to speak to this man, who may have vital information about the attack

Police are appealing for information following a racially aggravated assault in Plymouth.

Officers say they have exhausted all other options to trace the offender, who abused a taxi driver in February.

It happened on Pike Road, Efford at around 03.30am.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"Police are appealing for information after exhausting all other options to trace an offender who made a racist comment to a taxi driver Plymouth.

"In the early hours of Sunday 9 February, on Pike Road, Efford, Plymouth, a taxi driver was racially abused by a man who then threw the driver’s hat at him.

"Police have been investigating the incident over the last few months and are now appealing to the public for help."

Officers would particularly like to speak to the man pictured because he may have vital information which could assist their enquiries.

Anyone who knows the identity of the man, or has any other information which could assist their investigation, is asked to phone 101 or email 101@dc.police.uk quoting crime reference number, CR/011895/20.
