Police in Plymouth want to speak to a woman who stopped to help
An investigation has started in Plymouth, after a man was reportedly assaulted in a car park.
A man was reportedly punched by three teenagers in the car park at Morrisons in Plymstock, around 6pm on Tuesday 3rd September.
Detectives say they particularly want to speak with a woman who stopped to help the victim.
In a statement, police added: "The victim was driving a black Ford Fusion and had stopped at the pedestrian crossing near the supermarket petrol station at the time of the incident.
"He reported that he exited his vehicle after it was struck by one of the suspects and was then attacked.
"The victim sustained cuts and bruises."
