Plymouth's Bovisand Beach bus returning from May half term

The popular service will run through the summer once again

The popular Bovisand Beach bus in Plymouth will make its return from later this month (May half term).

The number 54 bus, operated by Stagecoach, will take passegners to Bovisand, overlooking Plymouth Sound.

It'll run daily between Saturday 24th May and Sunday 1st and then every day from Saturday 26th July to Sunday 31st August.

The bus will depart from the city centre each hour from 10.00am until 6.00pm (except 2.00pm), returning from Bovisand hourly from 10.28am until 6.28pm (except 2.28pm).

It'll leave from, and drop off, at Stop A10 on Royal Parade.

The service is being financially supported by Plymouth City Council.

Councillor John Stephens, Cabinet Member for Strategic Planning and Transport said: “The Bovisand bus is a popular and convenient way to get to the beach and we’re really pleased to be able to bring it back for another year.

"One of Plymouth’s priorities is providing direct routes to key locations and this service will enable residents and visitors to enjoy Bovisand and the wider National Marine Park throughout the summer.”
