Plymouth Argyle are staying in the Championship after beating play-off hopefuls Hull City in their final match of the season.

The final score at Home Park today (Saturday 4 May) was 1-0, with a goal from Captain Joe Edwards in the 40th minute.

The Pilgrims knew they needed to at least match the result of Birmingham City, who also won 1-0 against Norwich City.

Argyle finish the season on 51 points, one place and one point above Birmingham who have ultimately been relegated.

Today's game was Director of Football Neil Dewsnip and First Team Coach Kevin Nancekivell's final match in charge.

They both stepped into the vacant manager's seats(s) with six games remaining, after Head Coach Ian Foster was sacked.

Foster was appointed at the beginning of 2024 following the departure of Steven Schumacher.

Argyle were promoted to the Championship last season for the first time since 2010.
