Plymouth Argyle manager Ryan Lowe "excited" to welcome fans back to Home Park
Nearly 2,000 of the Green Army will be there for their Sky Bet League One match against Ipswich Town
The Green Army will return to Home Park this weekend for the first time in months.
A test event is being held with nearly 2,000 fans, as Plymouth Argyle go up against Ipswich Town in their latest Sky Bet League One game.
The event will determine whether fans can return on a permanent basis.
The club will be running at 50% of their socially-distanced capacity, which currently stands at 3,616 - as a result, Saturday's temporary capacity will be 1,808.
Tickets have already been allocated, which also includes a small number of Club Argyle season-ticket holders.
Manager Ryan Lowe says "it's a big start":
"We've got to rely on the Government to give us that nod and hopefully it all goes well on Saturday. Then come Christmas and maybe the New Year we can get them all in.
"I'm just excited to see them around the place. When you come in there's no one here, just the car park attendants!
"To see any fans is going to be a big plus and we're looking forward to welcoming them back."
The club say they can only achieve spectators returning on a permanent basis with the support of the Green Army.
They are asking supporters to follow a number of measures to ensure that everyone remains safe inside the stadium.
This includes arriving to Home Park on time and wearing a face covering.
Kick-off for tomorrow's game is at 3.00pm.
