A small plane has crash landed at Exeter Airport today (January 3).

The South Western Ambulance Service (SWAFT) has confirmed the news, adding that thankfully, no one was hurt,

It's understood the aircraft, the model of which has not yet been confirmed to us, initially radioed for help from the air.

Reports suggest its landing gear collapsed as it hit the tarmac, but the pilot managed to escape uninjured.

A land ambulance, air ambulance and a Hazardous Area Response Team were all dispatched to the scene but were then stood down on arrival and no one was taken to hospital.
