Person taken to Derriford Hospital following crash in Lee Mill

It happened yesterday afternoon between a car and a lorry

A crash involving a car and a fuel tanker has left one person in hospital.

It happened in Lee Mill at 14.31pm yesterday afternoon (21 December).

Fire crews had to cut the person free, before they were taken to Derriford.

A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said:

"Fire Engines from Plympton and Ivybridge as well as a Heavy Rescue Vehicle from Middlemoor, were all sent to a report of a road traffic collision involving one car and one lorry.

"On arrival crews confirmed that one person was physically trapped in the car and released them using Hydraulic Cutting Equipment. They were then taken to hospital via Ambulance."
