Pedestrian seriously injured after collision in Plymouth

Devon and Cornwall Police say the casualty in his 40s remains in hospital

Police say a pedestrian has been left with serious injuries following a collision with a car in Plymouth.

The casualty, a man in his 40s, was rushed to hospital on Monday night and remains there.

Officers say they working to establish the cause of the incident on Radford Park Road.

It happened at around 10pm and anyone who witnessed the collision or who was in the area at the time is being urged to contact Devon and Cornwall Police.

The force said: "Police were called at around 10pm on Monday 28th February to Radford Park Road, Plymouth, following reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

"As a result of the collision, the pedestrian, a man in his 40s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains.

"The scene was attended by officers from the Specialist Roads Policing Team as well as a forensic collision investigator.

"A full forensic investigation of the scene has taken place and officers are working to establish the cause of this collision.

"Police would like to thank the public for their patience and support while they investigated the scene.

"Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time of the collision to contact police on 101 quoting log 844 of 28th February 2022".
