No sewage contamination has been found at Sidmouth Rugby Football Club's pitches.

They were closed earlier this months after concerns about high levels of ammonia.

The club's issued a statement saying after extensive testing by South West Water and East Devon District Council's environmental team, no contamination has been found ensuring the area is safe for public use.

It's been welcomed by East Devon MP Simon Jupp:

Work on draining the pitches is continuing.
