It's to encourage visitors to explore more of the national park - and spend money in some of the more remote businesses.

Dartmoor National Park’s Head of Communications and Fundraising Sam Hill said: “We’ve had people ask if they can see a map so they can start planning and we’re really happy to help. As we’re easing out of lockdown restrictions, many businesses have COVID-secure measures in place so planning ahead is really important.

“We’re committed to supporting Dartmoor’s economy while ensuring people ‘otter spot’ safely. The map gives people information so they know before they go. We’d encourage everyone to plan ahead, check information before they travel and follow all government guidance when they visit so everyone stays safe and has a great time.

Moor Otters Arts Trail aims to raise £60,000. At the end of the summer otter-spotters, art collectors and individuals will have the opportunity to give their favourite sculpture a new home when they are auctioned with funds going to Donate for Dartmoor.
