Minute's silence at Plymouth Argyle for Keyham shooting victims
The football club paid tribute to the victims at their first home game of the new season
Plymouth Argyle asked fans to join them in a minute's silence before their first home game of the new season.
The football club played against Gillingham for their first home match of the season in League One where they won 1-0.
The team played at their home ground, Home Park, where they paid tribute to the victims of the shooting in Keyham on Thursday (12 August).
Yesterday (Saturday 14 August) was meant to be an exciting day for Plymouth Argyle after preparations for the new football season, but after the tragic event two days earlier, the club wanted to do something appropriate.
This is following 22 year-old Jake Davison shooting and killing five people in Keyham in Plymouth, before shooting and killing himself.
The tragic incident started on Biddick Drive in Keyham before Jake attacked people around the area - all lasting six minutes.
Fans at Home Park respected the minute's silence and joined Argyle in paying tribute to the victims and their families.
Plymouth Argyle say they are "deeply shocked and saddened" by Thursday night's events.
A spokesperson said: "Our heartfelt condolences go out to all those affected.
"We would also like to thank the emergency services for their quick and brave actions in responding to this terrible incident."
