The way you eat your McVitie's Jaffa Cakes reveals a lot about your personality
Experts reveal there are 520 ways to eat one of Britain's favourite snacks
How you eat your McVitie's Jaffa Cakes can tell us a lot about who you are as a person.
New research released today (10 February) has revealed the top ten ways in which Brits choose to eat Jaffa Cakes.
The data outlines that the most popular eating method is to eat your Jaffa Cakes in two halves (52%) - or as some might say Half Moon - followed by in one bite (26%), or Total Eclipse. Coming in third was to nibble around the outside of the sponge first (7%) leaving the tangy filling to last.
There's a great divide and much debate on the topic. Over two-thirds (69%) of Brits think that the way they eat Jaffa Cakes is the 'correct' way, with 28% having argued with someone about the 'right' way they think you should eat the much-loved snack.
In total, there are apparently 520 ways to eat Jaffa Cakes; but what does your eating method say about you?
Behavioural psychologist Jo Hemmings unpicked the findings, delving into how Brits' approach eating our food says about our personality:
1. Half-Mooner – a tale of two bites (52%)
