Man taken to Derriford Hospital following crash in Devon
The local fire service is urging the public to stay safe on the roads
A man had to be cut from his vehicle, after becoming trapped following a crash in Devon.
Emergency services were called to Wembworthy just after 17.00pm last night.
The RTC involved a tractor and a van.
The casualty has now been taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth; and Chulmleigh Fire Station are urging people to stay safe on the roads.
A spokesperson issued this statement on their Facebook page:
"This evening our crew attended an RTC.
"They were joined alongside the Hatherleigh crew and upon arrival it became apparent there was 1 casualty trapped.
"Safely and effectively our crews extricated the casualty alongside working with the paramedics who have now taken the casualty to Derriford for further examination.
"Well done to all crew members involved and remember, stay safe on the roads."
