Man sustains serious hand injury following Plymouth assault
Officers were called to reports of a man being assaulted on Anstis Street.
Police are investigating a reported assault on a man on Anstis Street in Plymouth at around midnight on Sunday. (12/9)
The man sustained a serious hand injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
A 32-year-old man from the town was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm with intent and criminal damage and has been released under investigation.
Devon & Cornwall Police are now appealing for any witnesses to help with their investigation.
