Man sustains 'life threatening' injuries in Plymouth crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash in Plymouth.

A motorcyclist has sustained life threatening injuries as a result of the collision.

It happened on Alma Road yesterday (1 June) and involved two vehicles.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"At 1120 hours on Tuesday 1st June 2021 Police were called to a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision involving a 125 Sym motorcycle and a Plymouth City bus on Alma road, Plymouth.

"As a result of the collision the rider of the Sym motorcycle sustained life threatening / life changing injuries Air ambulance also attended the scene.

"Officers from the specialist Roads Policing team attended in order to conduct a thorough examination of the scene causing the road to be closed for some time.

"Police would like to thank the public for their patience whilst we dealt with the collision."
