Man found guilty of manslaughter of rival biker

A man has been cleared of murder following the death of a motorcyclist on the A38 in Plymouth but has been found guilty of manslaughter.
42-year-old Benjamin Parry drove his Ford transit van into the back of 59-year-old David Crawford's motorcycle on the St Budeaux slip road in May. He died at the scene.
Parry, from Wright Close in Devonport, had admitted to his manslaughter towards the end of the trial - a plea which was previously rejected by the prosecution. He was convicted of that charge by the jury on Monday 28 November.
The jury at Plymouth Crown Court are yet to reach a verdict on charges against two other men, Chad Brading, 36, and Thomas Pawley, 32. They were advised that they could no longer consider murder charges against the pair.
Jurors were told that Mr Crawford - from Ivybridge - was a member of the Red Chiefs Motorcycle Club's Cornwall chapter, while the defendants were a part of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club, Plymouth branch.
The case continues.
