Man found dead after incident at Burrator Reservoir

Police have confirmed that a man has been found dead at Burrator Reservoir, near Yelverton.

Police were called to the scene by the fire service at around 12.35pm yesterday (Tuesday 23 August), following reports of concern for the welfare of a man located at the dam.

Emergency services attended and a man was confirmed deceased. Police are continuing to make enquiries in order to identify him.

The road was closed for a number of hours whilst officers remained at the scene.
